Attorney Monica Crooms Mkhikian’s love for immigration law began while serving as a student practitioner in the UC Davis Immigration Law Clinic. She assisted indigent clients in removal proceedings and in 2012, she received the University of California Human Rights Fellowship for her work providing immigration relief to victims of trafficking and torture at the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles.
Before starting her practice, Monica worked as an associate attorney for a top immigration law firm in Downtown Los Angeles.
In 2017 she was included on the Super Lawyers list of Rising Stars for her work in immigration law. She is experienced in providing removal defense before the Executive Office for Immigration Review and helping individuals apply for immigrant and nonimmigrant visas before US Citizenship and Immigration Services.
